SPRING 2011 Announcement
Dear Valued Customer,
Dougherty’s continually strives to give you high quality service at reasonable prices. In an effort to continue this standard we have added a new employee to head our service crew. Tim DeSimine has worked closely with me in The Pondshop as an apprentice for the last year. This addition to the service crew, who was specifically trained by me, will give you the same level of care and commitment you are used to. You and your pond deserve no less.
In an effort to maintain our pricing structure, Dougherty’s will continue to employ better scheduling techniques to utilize our down-time for Spring Openings. Rather than getting backed up with calls in the busy spring, we will start Spring Openings early. Dougherty’s will begin Spring Openings and Full Clean-outs in the month of March. We will try to wrap these up in early April as weather permits. This scheduling process will allow us to better serve your other needs.
Please do not worry about opening too early, as most of the bad weather is almost over. The cool weather will not bother the fish or plants. No part of the Spring Opening procedure will be affected by the March weather conditions. Other than our employees still wearing their winter coats and hats, all else is fine.
Sometime after you receive this letter, our regular Spring Opening customers will be receiving phone calls to set up their scheduled appointment. We are trying to consolidate appointments to specific geographical areas to keep our reasonable pricing strategy. Any savings garnered from this is then passed on to you and it keeps our fossil fuels from being wasted. Remember to go “Green” whenever possible.
Also, for those of you who do not wish to use our service department, we have Do-It-Yourself kits. We have Spring Opening Kits available at our store, as well as directions for opening your pond this spring. Our Spring Opening Seminar will be Saturday, March 19, 2010 at 10 am. This seminar is great for first time owners to learn all the steps to opening your pond.
Whether you have Dougherty’s open your pond or you do it, the important thing for the health of you pond and fish is that you do it the right way.
